[New Video]Finesse Peewee & Yung Melz- SMYLIN FACES

When you think of music today and what’s coming, everyone’s thought process is to find the next wav, sound, or simply speaking the next superstar. On the road to finding the next up, hip hop has taken us to Hopkinsville, Kentucky where we were introduced to Finesse Peewee and Yung Melz. These are two young rappers who are hungry to show the industry what music sounds like in their city.

Putting their city on their back, they enlist the skills of The Elitegiance a DJ Coalition out of Kentucky more specifically DJ Slikk who is also a Core DJ, & DJ Reezy also a Fleet DJ. Together they help bring to life a mixtape called “Tha Trenches” where both Finesse Peewee and Yung Melz lyrically turn up to explain life in their home town.

We had the opportunity to listen to this project and every track we heard is a contender for a potential single. With songs Like FN Wit me, Flood Yo City & Smylin Faces which gets into how they have the city behind them while bringing their flavor to wherever they perform. Then we have songs like Love Lost and Run it Up where they keep it straight street and true to their passion of focusing on the goal of getting to the bag no matter what.

We recommend that you take time to listen to this project as it is one that can bring more flavor to the ever-changing sound of hip hop while marking a new age in the history books. Finesse Peewee & Yung Melz are talking the trap, the truth, Tha Trenches get onboard and tune in. #GRYNDAPPROVED.

Yet in May of 2015 they did a group mixtape project titled "Life a Nyte Cr33p3r" Hosted by DJ Plugg. Subsequently shortly after some of the members of Nyte Cr33p3rz started getting into legal trouble which stopped further group projects from being released. Yet, that did not stop them from keeping NYTE CR33P3RZ alive. Artist Skruface dropped a solo project called "Built to Win" Hosted by DJ Winn in December of 2015 and LoC Cool the CEO of Nyte Cr33p3rz also dropped a solo project called "Percs, Lean, & Liquor" Hosted by DJ Plugg which came out March of 2016. Due to the incarceration of LoC Cool earlier this year and the releases of Yo Gwapo and Roundz who were also incarcerated they are ready to let everybody know there's no stopping them, which is why the title of the mixtape is "Nobody's Safe Vol .1”. Whatever You On (Official Video) @LondonOnDaTrack

Some of hip-hops most influential bangers of the last four years have started with the infamous beat-tag "We got London on da Track" the trademark of the super producer out of Atlanta. The producers beat catalog ranges from legacy acts such as Gucci Mane, Lil Wayne, and Jeezy to artists that he helped mold such as Young Thug, Rich Homie Quan, and so many more. London has become a pioneer of the Atlanta trap-influenced sound that has been taken from a regional style to a international hip-hop sensation. Now that London has proven that he can facilitate hits for others, he is taking matters into his own hands and releasing a solo project under RCA Records titled "Who Would've Known" set for release soon. The first single "No Flag" with Nicki Minaj, 21 Savage, and Offset has lived up to the star-studded hype and now with "Whatever You On" as the second single it seems like London can't miss.

The track features Ty Dolla $ign, Jeremih, YG, and Young Thug in a sequence of different melodies and flows from the superstar collaboration. The single is also packaged with a video that tackles a concept of an office party theme where the artists show that they can turn a boring environment into a good time. It is clear that London on da Track is exploring music from more of a pop-angle and as his genre of music is at the forefront he is capitalizing on the moment. It should be interesting to see how "Who Would've Known" performs in this musical climate because London has the formula to succeed in it.

Khody Blake- GAS (Official Music Video) @KhodyBlakeMusic

Hit the go-kart tracks with up and coming Houston emcee Khody Blake in his new video for "GAS" backed by L.O.U.D Muzik. Khody finds a nice balance between his innocent persona and a southern-style banger on this record. The 23-year-old preaches positivity in his music and is quoted saying "When my name comes up, i want it to be about something positive every time. I want to be known as the guy whose face is constantly associated for positive events, positive vibes and happiness everywhere I go." This type of mentality is something that is much needed in hip-hop where the over-glorification of vices is what is at the forefront. Watch "GAS" below and check out http://hyperurl.co/KhodyBlakeGas for more music in the future.

[Video]- OSCARR Ft. Guff - Fuck it Up (Prod. Felmax) @IgnorantO_

Oscarr South Florida's New Kid To "Fuck It Up"

The South Florida renaissance is here, like it or not. Artists such as Kodak Black and Lil Pump are gaining mainstream traction while others like Pouya and Wifisfuneral are dominating the underground. Call it mumble rap, clout rap, SoundCloud rap, punk-rap, whatever you want to call it, this movement is nationally recognized at the forefront of hip-hop. The next artist to capitalize on this era is Oscarr. With his new single "Fuck It Up" he brings all the elements that make the South Florida scene so unique. Production from Felmax, one of the pioneers of this gritty, eerie, and dark sound that is clearly an evolution of trap music "Fuck It Up" is the perfect instrumental for Oscarr's single. The polarizing performance from Oscarr and Guff on this beat displays all of the star-like qualities that contemporaries like XXXtentacion and Yung Simmie have displayed on their underground come-up. There is clearly a lot of shock-value coming from these two in their lyrics and the visual is here to match that energy. The video directed by GFXKID provides imagery to all of the madness in the lyrics. Naked women, money, weed, guns, and all the essentials to a grimy South Florida rap set can be found in this explicit video, check it out below and stay on the look out for more from Oscarr.

[Single] Law G - Mud prod by Mickey Keyz

Atlanta, GA; Good Life Music Group's, Law G is back with another banger to end the year out as hot as he started. Earlier this year he linked up with the "Guwop God" himself, Gucci Mane on the single/video "Know Me", which generated over 1 million streams on Spotify plus much more. The follow-up "No Love" with fellow Atlanta native, Big Bank kept things moving along for the artist. Law G went to perform, personally interact with fans and tastemakers, and continued to work. We know proudly bring to your hands "Mud", a laid-back Mickey Keyz produced track that describes coming from the bottom and just how many ways being from the "Mud" can make or break you. See when you are coming from the "Mud" you have two options; either get dirtier or find a way to clean yourself. Law G found a way to not only clean himself, but to share his experience via music, so that hopefully others can also find a way out the "Mud".

DJ Khaled Joins Solo LaMaze On "OoSheWanParty" Track @sololamaze

(Louisville, KY) - Born in Chicago and raised in Louisville aka "Derby City," rapper Solo LaMaze always loved music and as a youth found himself listening to music almost every hour of the day.

Getting started early Solo picked up the mic and began rapping at the age of 11 after developing a passion for the battle rap scene and released his first project Year of Solo in 2003

That 2003 project was followed up by his Synthetic Dope LP where he was the executive producer, engineering and producing the entire project on his own.

"It was a no brainer" to begin making music," Solo LaMaze explained. "I was influenced by the greats like Jay Z Wayne, Jeezy and Kanye."

In addition to drawing inspiration from some of the greatest rappers of all time, Solo Lamaze also found himself producing music and following the sounds of Dr.Dre, Timberland, Mannie Fresh, DJ Paul and Juicy J.

This desire to create led Solo LaMaze to opening his own studio called Organized Swagg where before the age of 18 he subsequently released several projects including Bowel Movement, Beast Mode Vol. 1 & Vol. 2, Rare Form” and “Sushi Sushi Sushi.

"My music is candy with the medicine in it, I entertain and slide in a message simultaneously," he said.

The philosophy about his music has apparently worked and since then his credits as producer include the likes of David Banner, Beanie Sigel, Juvenile, Sean Paul of the Young Bloods, Kool Daddy Fresh, Twista, J-Kwon, Mr. Serve On, and Young Bleed.

Also, ironically besides Lil Wayne, Solo LaMaze was the last person to work with Grammy Award winning rapper Static Major before his untimely death, an experience he’ll never forget.

Reflecting on the past, but still looking forward Solo Lamaze is getting ready to tour in South Florida in February and has several spot dates where he is planning on performing through the Winter.

Until then Solo is grateful for the outpouring of support he has received over the years as he continues pushing his music.

"Thank for all the support you guys been giving me and I wont let you down. Relax and Be safe tho," he concluded. Be Sure to Check out Solo Lamaze on Big Heff's Streets Most Wanted Tour in Feb. 2018.

[New Video] Produkt - Paradise @ProduKtJRG

"Paradise" is an introspective trip into the mind of Produkt, a seasoned hip-hop veteran from The Bronx. Produkt has built a name for himself over the years as a street-smart lyricist with a lot of range as an artist. "Paradise" is a single from Produkts most recent effort "Change The Frequency" which is available now on all major streaming platforms. The single is backed by a black and white visual that flawlessly captures the essence of Produkts energy on this record. The gritty imagery in Produkts lyrics are a testament to his life experiences and the very skeletal, jazzy instrumental gives the emcee enough space to eloquently deliver his rhymes.

Produkt raps "Troubled youth, but a stargazer/ philly blunts til the stars gave up, concrete heat through the streets, the scars caged us, Mobb Deep beats on repeat the stars raised us" it is clear that Produkt comes from the golden-era of New York hip-hop and his authenticity is on full display here. Although the verses may be tackling a lot of the hardships of Produkts reality, the hook on this is very motivational and triumphant which gives an overall positive feel to the theme of this record. Check out the visual below as Produkts rhymes come to life in the streets of The Bronx, NY and make sure you stay on the look out for more music.

[Video]- Kayana Latrice- All Night Long @KayanaLatrice

Kayana Latrice is far from your typical 20-year-old college student. While studying Sociology at El Camino she is also raising her daughter and pursing her music career. Despite having so much on her plate, Kayana seems to be stress free in her new video for "All Night Long" where she turns up with her girlfriends as they get ready for their night out. This record is backed by an undeniable hook with a melody that is as infectious as Kayana's personality on this record. "All Night Long" is definitely an anthem for anyone looking to function as the title implies but there is much more layers to Kayana's character than just partying. Make sure you check out "If She Only Knew" to get a better understanding of Kayana's catalog, she is a multi-dimensional singer/songwriter with a number of narratives to explore. [New Visual] Ziico Niico- That Bag @Ziico_Niico

Ziico Niico is a bubbling sensation coming out of The Bronx, NY. The French Montana affiliate was first introduced to hip-hop over a year ago with his single "That Bag" a song that transcends both the NYC streets and the club scene into mainstream media with over 800,000 views on YouTube. Unfortunately, Ziico Niico is fighting a case for conspiracy charges, which has been a difficult obstacle thrown his way while trying to reach the next level in his career. However, Niico has still been able to release projects such as "I'm Heem" and "Zaddy Heem" as well as placements with Bronx legend French Montana. The charisma and persona behind Ziico Niico is very intoxicating and organic to his Uptown roots, he is definitely someone to look out for coming out of NYC if he is able to get passed all of his legal troubles. Hajji BlackStone - Hot Sauce ft. Kogniak (Official Music Video) @blackstonehaji

Hajji BlackStone delivers on a visual for his new single "Hot Sauce" featuring Kogniak. This Afrobeat banger is backed by a hypotizing instrumental from producer Dusty Productions. The chemistry between Hajji and Dusty is clear on this record where they provide deeply rooted cultural influences in a way that comes off very natural. The autotune-driven hook is enough to catch the listeners ear, but it is the well put together verses that string this track together. It is clear that Hajji has mastered his pen game with lyrical mechanics that reflect more of a east coast emcee rather an Afrobeat singer. Director ReelEyeCons does a great job of bringing this song to life with imagery that perfectly captures the essence of the record. Bouncing back and forth from the big city to a beautiful waterfall, this video documents the lavish lifestyle of Hajji BlackStone. "Hot Sauce" will be featured on Hajji BlackStones upcoming project "Lil Senegal" look out for that and more coming from Hajji.

EhCee is following up his latest single "Real Ones" with an EP that expands on a sound that he has clearly perfected. "TRusT" may be EhCee's first solo effort, but these five tracks are far from amateur. The writing on this project is very polished and focused while the production reflects the same energy. This 15-minute emotional journey tackles angles from the perspective of someone who is dealing with a lot of pressure and frustration from his environment and those around him. [New Mixtape] T-Mitch- Let It Be Heard @TMitch0903

T Mitch is a rapper/singer/producer from Ottawa, Ontario. At the age of 7, T Mitch’s mother, a Haitian immigrant, enrolled him in music lessons. It was the right decision because T Mitch exuded an intense, contagious passion for music that his music teachers recognized and fostered. Philippe Duquette, a music teacher T Mitch counts among his mentors, elected T Mitch to lead his school choir. At age 16, T Mitch began producing beats for local artists, which helped him develop his signature sound, which mixes elements of Hip Hop, R&B, Trap and more.

Jayway Sosa landed his first successful record when he recorded “Shit Together” along with Face Luchi and Cha Soo Cold. This record really gave him the prominent fan base that he has the chance to expand today. UBUNTUFM MEETS BISHOP THE OVERSEER @BEPC99

GREETINGS BISHOP, GREAT TO LINK UP WITH YOU AND PROVIDE US WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO POSE A FEW QUESTIONS.
YOUR TRACK, ‘RUNNIN BACK’, IS QUITE A REMARKABLE ARTISTIC ACHIEVEMENT IN EVERY MUSICAL ASPECT. SO TELL US, WHAT INSPIRED THE TRACK?

Peace to you and yours. I appreciate your interest in the single. I'm humbled by the reviews and this subsequent interview. It is psychologically impactful when you're exposed to albums like “Black America Again” [Common] and “To Pimp A Butterfly” [Kendrick Lamar]. In these times, there are things going on in the world that are greater than oneʼs self. As an artist, you have a duty to report current events as accurately and honestly as lyrically possible. When you see a dead child from Syria wash up upon the shores of Turkey; when nearly 200 girls remain missing after being kidnapped by Boko Haram; and when African American males are being executed in the streets of United States by the police without due process; you have no other choice but to address the facts. Events such as these and moreover inspired “Runnin Back”.

I LIKE THE TRACK. GREAT ONE. HOW IS ITS PERFORMANCE IN TERMS OF PUBLIC RECEPTION?

Actually, I have not performed “Runnin Back” live publicly. The label is still in the music servicing phase of the single. The reception from the DJ's, Record Pools, and Radio Stations has been very welcoming. The average rating is approximately 3.5/4 out of 5. The next phase of the project will consist of shooting a music video.

“Runnin Back” is food for the soul...

DO YOU THINK THE TRACK WOULD HAVE FARED BETTER IN TERMS OF WIDER ACCEPTANCE?

In my view, some people view the arts as an escape from reality. Some people don’t want the ills of society force fed through music. Some people say that “Runnin Back” is food for the soul. The one thing that everyone can universally agree upon is that “Runnin Back” is not like any of the other music out currently, and that it provides a refreshing prospective.

PERSONALLY I AM CAPTIVATED BY YOUR CHOICE OF LYRICS. YOU ACTUALLY PLAY WITH WORDS. HENCE MY QUESTION: DO YOU HAVE ANY HISTORY WITH CONVENTIONAL POETRY?

I appreciate that you get the crux that I intended. Yes, the origins of my poetry began in elementary school. Before composing song compositions, I wrote poems. I actively began composing songs in 1996 at the age of 15. Now, 10 commercial releases later, the rest is history.

"It’s extremely important that music has substance..."

WHAT IS THE STORY BEHIND THE GREAT HIP-HOP MUSIC YOU DO? DID YOU INITIALLY SET OUT TO BECOME A RAPPER?

I have rigorously studied the craft, past and present content. I have written more songs than I have actually published. I have more than 1,000 songs in my repertoire. Just under 100 songs have been commercially published. Being a “Rapper” was never an objective and never will be. For me, music and the arts has always been therapeutic. Listening to my compositions and the music of others has gotten me through some challenging situations. So it’s extremely important that music has substance. Fame was never an objective. Honestly, I would be content if I could “ghost write” for other acts and continue to record my song compositions for synchronization licensing placement into television, films, commercials and video games.

MY CURIOSITY IS GETTING THE BETTER OF ME. WHAT INFORMED YOUR CHOICE OF THE STAGE NAME ‘BISHOP THE OVERSEER’?

Once upon a time, my stage name was “Ses Dogg”. Growing up in Newark, New Jersey, people would call me “Ses” because they couldn’t pronounce my birth name. As a teenager, I was advised by a potential manager that I should change my stage name to something that could sustain long term. In my quest for names, I wanted to choose something meaningful. Something that in 20 years, where I stand today, I could stand behind. Long story short, I chose “Bishop” based on its religious background. I have always been a God fearing believer, and although imperfect, my belief is unwavering. Bishop’s acronym is “Best Individual Style Only Happens through Potential” which is self explanatory. “The Overseer” in the church is a nickname for a Bishop. The Overseer oversees the operations in which the Bishop is responsible for in the church. As the “Overseer” in the Hip-Hop/Rap industry, I have a duty as one of the gatekeepers of the culture to ensure that the content I publish is sustainable music with substance.

"Streaming, sync placement and brand campaigns ... is the future, going forward..."

THE HIP-HOP MUSIC INDUSTRY IN ANY PART OF THE WORLD IS SADDLED WITH ITS OWN PECULIAR LIMITATIONS. HOWEVER, THE INDUSTRY IN THE U.S SEEMS TO ENJOY THE REGARD AS THE POSTER CHILD FOR ARTISTIC AND COMMERCIAL EXCELLENCE. DO YOU THINK THE INDUSTRY IS AT ITS PEAK IN THE U.S?

From a commercialization prospective, yes. It’s much more lucrative in the marketplace today than it once was. Knowing the market and how to exploit it is key. Streaming, sync placement and brand campaigns (artist representing products and services) is the future, going forward, until further notice. It’s no longer about album/single sales or downloads. It’s about visibility and buzz. Touring and live performances are irreplaceable for those that can develop and sustain a loyal fan base.

AFRICAN HIP-HOP ARTISTS HAVE LONG CONSIDERED COLLABORATIONS WITH THEIR AMERICAN COUNTERPARTS AS A MOVE FOR SUCCESS IN THEIR CAREERS. MOST OFTEN THAN NOT, IT DOESN'T WORK OUT AS ENVISIONED, SOMETIMES WITH SCANDALOUS CONSEQUENCES BACK HOME. COULD THERE BE SOMETHING THE AFRICAN RAP ARTISTS COULD DO BETTER IN THEIR APPROACH?

I am not educated enough on this topic to speak on it. I would need to know the facts and background on what or what wasn’t happening. Generally speaking, if the act is decent and song concept works, I personally don’t have a problem collaborating with anyone regardless of the country of origin.

LET US GET BACK TO YOUR WORK. IS THERE A GENERAL PHILOSOPHY TO YOUR MUSIC?

Yes, it has to have substance. Meaning, it has to have a message. Every topic doesn’t have to be serious or about political or social issues. The topics should be diverse, categorically and well articulated.

WHAT DO YOU HAVE GOING AT THE MOMENT? ANY PROJECTS IN THE WORKS?

Our label re-released “Money Spot (Pt. 1)” on August 29, 2017. It is a remastered double album “Eastside” and “Westside” consisting of 22 tracks with 4 additional “ghost tracks”. The single “Runnin Back” is from the album “44 Steps Forward/45 Steps Back” which is in the creative development process. The focus, as I stated previously, is shooting the music video for “Runnin Back” and continue its global exploitation and notoriety.

"Without the people there’s no me..."

‘RUNNIN BACK’ HAS BEEN ENJOYING PLAY TIME ON UBUNTUFM HIP-HOP RADIO, AND GARNERING SOME CONSIDERABLE INTEREST FROM OUR LISTENING AUDIENCE. PERHAPS YOU HAVE A WORD FOR THEM BEFORE WE WRAP UP.

Bishop Enterprises Publishing and I appreciate you, UbuntuFM, and your listeners for supporting “Runnin Back”. This is for the people and the worldwide movement for social justice, equality and self-awareness. Without the people there’s no me, no Bishop Enterprises or any other label or act seeking to publish art or music. The movement starts with the people and the people supporting content with substance. When given the opportunity, I would love to perform live in Johannesburg. Never let discouragement destroy your reason for being (manifest destiny).

OUR SINCERE GRATITUDE FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE YOU ON THE PLATFORM. WE WISH THE BEST FOR YOUR ARTISTIC ENDEAVORS EVEN AS WE EXPECT TO ENTERTAIN OUR AUDIENCE WITH MORE FROM YOU.

Thank you for having me. Peace to you and yours. Likewise. Wishing you the best. Bishop out.
